Model Kit or Finished Action Figure? Check the Format Before You Buy

A model kit requires assembly; a finished action figure is supplied as a figure rather than a kit. Similar characters, scales or photos do not make them the same product.

Listing Format Details in the product record
Fondjoy Hulkbuster MK44 1/7 scale model kit Assembly required; colored parts; approximately 45 cm assembled height. This listing ships to US addresses only.
ZD Toys Hulkbuster MK44 1907-44 1/7 scale articulated figure Approximately 35 cm tall. A separate product from the Fondjoy kit; this listing ships to US addresses only.

Both use the Hulkbuster name and 1/7 scale label, but they have different manufacturers, formats and listed dimensions. Choose the exact model, not just the character name.

Does a colored or pre-painted kit still need assembly?

It can. Colored parts, pre-painted parts and partially pre-assembled components describe different preparation levels. Read the individual product description to see what work remains. Do not assume a kit needs no tools, adhesive or paint unless that release explicitly states it.

What should I check on a model kit listing?

  • Manufacturer, model number and edition.
  • Required assembly and the preparation of the supplied parts.
  • Assembled dimensions, rather than only box size.
  • Whether tools, paint or adhesive are included or needed.
  • The exact contents of the selected single kit or set.

What should I check on a finished figure?

Look for the actual height, articulation, head and hand options, and the package contents for that edition. Lights, batteries, bases and effect parts are not universal features of an action figure.

Can I use either for photography or display?

Both formats can be suitable, depending on the individual product’s construction and movement. A model kit is not automatically non-articulated, and a finished collectible is not automatically poseable. Follow the listing and handling guidance for the specific item.
